GTA Online developers do not plan on slowing down any time soon, despite heavy speculations surrounding GTA 6 rumors. During an interview with GamesRadar, Rockstar North design director Scott Butchard suggested that the devs team still has a lot of surprises in store for players.
One of those surprises came in the form of Los Santos Drug Wars: The Last Dose update that was pushed on March 16. Sadly, community members criticized the update for recycling a GTA V story mission. Disappointed players also raised concerns over a recent quality-of-life change that doesn’t serve its purpose right.

Under Settings and Startup in the GTA Online menu, players will be able to load directly into GTA Online. This is a welcomed change over having to go through story mode first.
However, a player compared the load times and found out that it’s just under a minute faster to enter an online lobby through story mode. Loading directly into GTA Online takes more time because searching for a public lobby to join could take time. Players are now seeking answers for why they don’t have the option to load directly into a solo or invite-only session.
Whatever might be the case, loading into the story and then going into online could be the faster way to play whatever players are trying in GTA Online.
Players who are eager to jump right into the new content for GTA Online’s Drug Wars will be required to complete certain missions beforehand, as well as have the game be up-to-date.
