You would think that the Genshin Impact Overture Teaser: The Final Feast is eventually a trailer to show the Genshin Impact anime, but no! The case is different, it’s one hell of a hype piece for edition 4.0 of the RPG, which is ready to be released in August 2023. It’s our first clear look at the characters of the Fontaine arc and provide us some leaks as to what we can get in case of themes and stories. The video starts ominously: First, a character goes down into the dark blue deep sea with a female voice saying that “the original sin is the fairest: everyone sinks.” Every mainline Final Fantasy game, ranked from best to worst.

“Make the most of the final feast, because for the sinners, the curtain call has come,” she continues on. We then get a look to our first two Fontaine characters, the siblings Lyney and Lynette, who are a two stage performers. Lyney’s voice can be listened over the next couple of scenes, telling what’s probably to be a major theme in the next story arc: that magic is just the talent of making people Glimpse what you wish them to watch rather than what’s really there.

By the looks of it, the Traveler will be the main attraction of a massive sham performance in Fontaine, which has the entire state apparatus of the land of justice, starting from its police to its infamous court and all look like to be orchestrated by Arlecchino, one of the Fatui Harbingers, who has a important place in the trailer.

After Arlecchino’s ominous comes in the trailer, we get a chance to see Fontaine’s famous courtroom, which aptly seems like a theater or opera house, a wide stage for what’s set up for a grand performance. We see the Hydro Archon, Focalors, has a burning photo in the hands and being named to order by the court’s judge, an authoritative male figure shown before on in the trailer with the dashing female name Captain R, who wields a flintlock pistol firing Electro bullets.
