V-Bucks cannot be gifted in-game, but they can be given in another way. This option entails exchanging a certain number of V-Bucks for a real-world gift card. The majority of large retailers, including Target, Wal-Mart, etc., carry these gift cards. The amount of V-Bucks on each gift card will be indicated along with the icon used in Fortnite.

In the event that one of these gift cards is given to a player, they may use the predetermined amount of V-Bucks on their Fortnite account. The player’s account will be instantly credited with that many V-Bucks, allowing them to buy cosmetics, the battle pass, etc. Of course, there is no actual gifting system associated with the gift cards because they are only found outside of the game. However, there is no other way to give V-Bucks to another player. Players can always choose to send a specific cosmetic item from the Item Shop to another player in place of exchanging V-Bucks.

To send a cosmetic to someone on their friend list, players need only buy one from the Item Shop. To make this work, however, players must be level two and have two-factor authentication turned on. A daily cap of five gifts is also imposed on players. However, gifts cannot be given for cosmetics that were purchased with cash rather than V-Bucks.
