Fortnite, thankfully, lets you change your name if you’ve gone and made a serious error. It’s an incredibly simple procedure that will come in handy when you need it.

You can change your name in Fortnite in a few different ways, including through the Epic Games launcher or the game’s official website. To be thorough, we’ll go over both of them.

  1. Click the sign-in button in the top right corner of the screen when you are on the Fortnite website.
  2. To log into your account, fill out the required fields with your information.
  3. You will then return to the home page after finishing this.
  4. Your username can be found in the top right corner of the screen; simply click it to access the drop-down menu, then select “Account.”
  5. You can modify your Display Name by clicking the pencil icon next to it under the “Account Settings” tab.

You can also sign in to the Epic launcher and select your name from the bottom left corner. The settings on your console allow you to change your PlayStation Network (PSN) name, but using a browser to do so is much easier and doesn’t require you to turn on your console.

  1. Visit the PlayStation Network website and sign in using your credentials.
  2. The My PlayStation button will appear next to your name; click on it.
  3. Choose your Profile
  4. Below your profile picture, select Edit Profile.
  5. Next to your Online ID, click the Edit button.
    • Accept the conditions to add your new name.

Unfortunately, once you’ve settled on a name, you’ve already made your bed if you’re a console player. Players on PS4 and PS5 will have one more free opportunity to improve their terrible names, so make the most of it. If not, the consequences will be felt in your purse. Your PSN ID and name in Fortnite will change once the procedure is finished. As a result, you will have to change your name in all the other PS4 or PS5 games you play. There is a fee associated with performing additional Fortnite name changes, which is approximately $5 for PS Plus subscribers and $10 for non-subscribers.
