Some players are furious about a recently revealed change to the way the collection level track in Marvel Snap will reward players. The game’s updated road map, which provides a glimpse at features and improvements currently under development and in the concept stage, was unveiled last night by Second Dinner, the game’s developer for Snap. Some players are baffled by, or downright angry about, a forthcoming change to the rewards in Collector’s Reserves.
Regarding its recent addition to the collector’s level track, Second Dinner stated, “We’re continuing to monitor player feedback and data for Spotlight Cache economy tuning.” If you need more information about some players, there is a 50% chance that the Collector’s Reserves in Marvel Snap will be useless, then Read carefully, and don’t forget to share with your friends.

Collector’s Reserve caches will soon undergo similar economic changes to those that recently affected Spotlight Caches, but the change to the potential rewards is what has sparked the most outrage, as shown by Reddit threads like this one. Series Three-complete reserves will soon offer a 50% chance at 100 Collector’s Tokens and a 50% chance at a Gold Conquest ticket, replacing the 50 Collector’s Tokens reward that has been universally despised since it was added to the game in a recent update.
The issue with this is that some players choose not to play Marvel Snap’s Conquest mode, which is an alternative to the game’s standard ladder mode. Many of these players are raising these issues regarding a reward that is essentially meaningless to them.
“The addition of Gold Conquest tickets is a slap in the face to those of us that don’t enjoy this game mode,” said the original poster of a thread on the Snap subreddit. “If you add this feature as a completely additional reward on top of something else then it would be fine. Something like… 100 tokens and a gold ticket. That would be fine. Or a random variant and a Gold ticket. But just a single Gold ticket from a cache is not even a reward at all for those like me who don’t care for Conquest. I will legitimately hold all my caches until this change is reversed.”
In its current form, the Gold ticket is not a particularly great prize. Conquest-loving players should have no trouble getting that ticket. Golds can be obtained by winning just two games with a Silver ticket, and Silver tickets can be farmed by participating in Proving Grounds, the free level of Conquest. A different Redditor remarked, “Seriously if you don’t like Conquest, the ticket is worthless to you. If you enjoy a conquest, you’ll use up all of your conquest rewards anyway, so the ticket is only worth boosters to you. Here, nobody comes out ahead. It merely provides yet another vulnerability for the RNG to fail you.
One of the Redditors who responded is convinced that this new kind of reward is being used to attract players to Conquest mode and shorten the occasionally protracted wait times while looking for a match in Conquest. Second Dinner might not have enough time to respond to this feedback before a change can be made because the new season and update, which are scheduled to begin at 10 p.m. CT on Monday, Aug. 7, are only a few days away.
