Exciting news for gaming enthusiasts! The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has collaborated with International Federations and game publishers to create the Olympic Esports Series 2023, a global virtual and simulated sports competition. The finals will be held in Singapore during the four-day Olympic Esports Week, where virtual sports and gaming will be celebrated. Sport Shooting Island in Fortnite Added to the Competition Line-up

Finals will feature a range of exciting events, with the addition of the International Shooting Sport Federation’s (ISSF) sport shooting island in Fortnite. Twelve players from the 2023 Fortnite Champion Series will compete on a specially designed Fortnite Creative Island, which replicates a sport shooting competition. This will test the target-aiming accuracy of sharpshooters and their ability to navigate the in-game environment. The event promises to be thrilling, and the winner will be awarded the prestigious title of Olympic Esports Series winner.

Tickets Available Now!

The Olympic Esports Week tickets are now available for purchase, with general admission starting at SGD 10 per day, and three-day passes available from SGD 20. Visa is the official and preferred way to pay for Olympic Esports Week tickets, in recognition of its long-standing partnership with the event and Paralympic Games.

Events Not to Miss

Ticket-holders will be able to attend the live finals action of the Series. The schedule includes archery, cycling, dancing, sailing, baseball, taekwondo, sport shooting, tennis, motorsport, and chess. Visitors can also check out the latest virtual sports, gaming, and esports innovations in the free-to-play zone, including baseball, cricket, cycling, and motorsport. Additionally, there will be exhibition matches featuring some of the world’s best players in NBA 2K23, Eleven Table Tennis, and more.

Allianz Supports Olympic Esports Week

Olympic Esports Week is supported by the Worldwide Olympic Partners, including Allianz. Allianz is bringing its MoveNow Camp to Singapore with a new esports edition. Registration is now open for 14- to 17-year-olds from across Asia. Thirty individuals will be invited to take part in the camp during Olympic Esports Week 2023. Participants will have the opportunity to develop their skills in featured games, such as Rocket League and Gran Turismo, receive professional esports training, and engage in selected activities to improve mental and physical health, as well as social skills. Mentorship opportunities will also be provided.

Week is another step towards supporting the development of virtual sports in the Olympic Movement, as laid out in Olympic Agenda 2020+5. The collaboration with the gaming and esports communities creates new opportunities for players and fans alike.
