Now that you know this new trick, your days of nonstop farming ought to be over. Players of World of Warcraft rejoiced when Blizzard Entertainment added 385 and 395 item level catch-up gear with the initial release of Dragonflight Patch 10.0.7 on March 21. But they had no idea that in order to obtain the token they required, they would have to spend countless hours farming rare bosses and Forbidden Hoards. As an alternative, go see Mythressa, the Apprentice Primal Researcher in Valdrakken at 38.12, 37.65, and purchase 359 pieces of Raging Tempest armour for 200 to 500 Elemental Overflow each. That should cost you about 4,000 Elemental Overflow all told. Although you couldn’t upgrade this gear in Patches 10.0 and 10.0.5, you can in Patch 10.0.7 using Storm Sigils. You only need Storm Sigils to raise the item level of this gear from 359 to 385; however, to raise it to 395, you also need one Untapped Forbidden Knowledge.

Although Storm Sigil is a unique currency linked to Primalist events, it now drops from almost every rare in Patch 10.0.7. As a result, you’ll still need to spend time farming rares in the Forbidden Reach, but you’ll get a guaranteed gear upgrade for every seven to ten rares you kill.

We have already conquered the Forbidden Reach and become accustomed to the Trading Posts. We’re now looking ahead because we want to know what the future has in store for us. The courageous Azeroth heroes are venturing beneath the Dragon Isles in Patch 10.1 to find Zaralek Caverns, a brand-new zone. We will encounter Drogbar and Niffen factions there, deal with Neltharion’s failed experiments in Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible, and gradually unravel subterranean mysteries.

Once you have a brand-new 70-level alt, go to the Forbidden Reach first to gather about 4,000 Elemental Overflow, then come back to Valdrakken, where Mythressa will sell you Raging Tempest armour. Finally, go back to the Forbidden Reach to look for rares to upgrade your armour to 385 item level and then to 395 item level. This approach will greatly accelerate the process of reaching the 400 item level mark, even though you still need to return to the Forbidden Reach.
