Coming back strong after trailing behind in the second round, around the 27th minute mark, Indian DOTA 2 has proven themselves against New Zealand. Team India won their first esports medal at the first 2022 CWG Esports Championship. India, who had a strong hold from the get go clenched the first round with ease, and headed into the second round very strongly. However, New Zealand was strong in the second game, and held strong till the 27th minute and then India came from behind to clench the bronze medal.

Team Dota 2 comprises captain Moin Ejaz, Ketan Goyal, Abhishek Yadav, Shubham Goli and Vishal Vernekar. Both the teams have already proved their mettle by clinching impressive wins in the tournament’s South Asian Regional Qualifiers last month.

The 2022 Commonwealth Esports Championships will be conducted at the International Convention Centre in Birmingham with the presence of the world’s top Esports teams. Alongside DOTA 2 and Rocket League, PES2022 will also be part of the tournament.
