There are hints that a popular game mode may be returning in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 developed by Sledgehammer Games. Players are getting thrilled about this game, which goes by the name of Capture the Flag, not since Black Ops Cold War has this mode been available. Sledgehammer looks to be paying attention to what fans are saying about it on Reddit, the players are optimistic even though they haven’t made any official announcement yet.

In a subtle response Sledgehammer Games hinted to their recognition of fan comments with an intriguing eyes emoji. Considering the popularity of the post and the general demand to bring back Capture the Flag it’s conceivable that Sledgehammer is giving the idea some serious thought.
Epic 20v20 Battle Map engagements were featured in the Big Capture the Flag edition of Modern Warfare 2 which was first released in the game. Though it was included in games like Black Ops 3, Infinite Warfare, Cold War and WWII, the classic 6v6 version was not included. Thanks to its simple but thrilling gameplay Capture the Flag has remained popular for years despite not being associated with the Call of Duty series.
The possibility of Capture the Flag returning is quite plausible given that Modern Warfare 3 is constantly releasing new playlists and game types. Not to be overlooked, though is the fact that Sledgehammer has not yet released a formal comment on the subject. The return of Pro Perks, Specialist Kill Streaks and the old Prestige system as well as other throwback elements like Demolition, One in the Chamber and Gunfight Tournament, were requested by fans in addition to Capture the Flag.
