VALORANT’s community manager published the 5.12 patch notes for the public beta environment tonight, detailing a massive list of agent changes that players in PBE will be testing out this upcoming weekend. There are some “significant game system updates” along with an Agent ability update, and a small update for the Spectre. One of the main focal points of the Agent update is the cost increase for many Ultimates that have a “large, site-wide footprint.” Breach, KA/O, and Viper’s ultimate cost increased from seven to eight points. Viper’s pit got other nerfs as well: his smoke integrity regeneration time has been increased from five seconds to 25 seconds, and he can only spend about half that time in the pit before going out easily.
Many agents with deployable capabilities will see those capabilities being health enthusiasts. Cypher’s Trapwire, KA/O’s Zero/Point Knife, Killjoy’s Nanoswarm, Raze’s Blast Pack, Sowa’s Recon Bolt, and of course Chamber’s trademarks now have 20 points of health instead of just one. The newest agent, Harbor, will receive a buff to make. make him more flexible.His High Tide Water Wall duration is now only 15 seconds instead of 12, and his Cascade Water Wall duration is up from five to seven seconds.
Fed’s Prowler health is decreased, Killjoy’s Lockdown Device health is increased, Omen’s Paranoia cost is decreased, Raze’s Boom Bot health is decreased, and Phoenix’s Blaze cost is decreased. Sage’s Barrier Orb Fortify delay is increased, and her Healing Orb heals herself less, but her allies more. Sky’s Trailblazer costs more, but its incremental cost is lower. Yoru’s Gatecrash has low health, but also costs less in new update in valorant.

Across Agents as a whole, “Abilities that output damage now universally damage enemy objects that can be damaged.” Essentially, any ability that deals damage will be able to deal damage to an enemy’s utility piece. Lastly, the Spectre’s damage range has been changed. Body shots from zero to 15 meters do 26 damage.In this New update patch note the Deals 22 damage from 15 to 30 meters for agent. And the gun takes 20 damage over 30 meters in update. Previously, body shots from zero to 20 meters dealt 26 damage, and shots from over 20 meters dealt 22 damage in this update.
The current PBE testing period for the 5.12 changes runs until 1PM CT on Monday, December 5th.
