The forthcoming drama shows the story of a romance between a top celebrity, who later dies in a tragic accident but his female fan, goes to the past by time travels to change his fate. It is a combination of an emotional love story with a sci-fi time factor in the plot.

Byeon will play the role of Ryu Sun-jae, Korea’s top celebrity who dies in a tragic accident, and Kim is playing the role of starstruck female lead Lim Sol, who travels back to time to when Sun-jae was 19 years old and find it hard to avoid his accident.
The show is the latest Korean series which is based on a web novel. In this case “The Best of Tomorrow,” written by Kim Bbang and published under Kakao Page, is the underlying source material for Lee Si-eun’s screen adaptation. Lee is a well-known writer mostly famous for writing the script of tvN drama “True Beauty” (2020).
Byeon, who made his debut as a model, started his acting career after doing a minor role in the JTBC drama “Dear My Friends” in 2016. After that, he was featured in numerous TV series and films containing “Search: WWW” (2019) “Record of Youth” (2020), “20th Century Girl” (2022) and “Soulmate” (2023).
Kim is best known for her role as an ambitious, dedicated girl in the 2018 hit series “Sky Castle.” Ever since, she has on numerous roles in TV and films, which has a quick-witted high school student in the romantic comedy series “Extraordinary You” (2019) and a Joseon-era woman who undergoes a divorce for which she is not convinced in “Secret Royal Inspector & Joy” (2021).

Kim was stated as Best New Actress at the 2022 Blue Dragon Awards, the country’s top film honors, and the Rising Star Asia award at the New York Asian Film Festival’s Star Asia Awards for her acting skills as the lead in the Korean thriller film “The Girl on a Bulldozer.”Her name was featured in Forbes’ 30 under 30 Asia last year.
The production team of the series asked viewers to watch the on-screen chemistry between actors Byeon and Kim, who both have great acting skills and undeniable charm and talent. They are very sure that the time-slip fantasy romance will fascinate the viewers. “Loverly Runner” is ready to release in the second half of 2023.
