Bled Esports had a nearly flawless run at the Skysports SEA Championship, dropping only one map out of eight they played against Godsquad (2) and MITH (6).The Singaporean outfit had faced MiTH twice, clean-sweeping them during their Upper Bracket Final faceoff and then went up against them again in the Grand Finals, where they were denied a revenge victory despite losing the first game.

Things started off as both teams won their respective map picks, with MiTH claiming a ’13-8′ victory over Breeze, followed by Bled Esports taking a ’13-9′ victory over Icebox.With the series scores now level, both teams battled each other on Haven, MiTH’s map pick, where they performed well early on to take a ‘9-5′ lead, but Bled took six consecutive rounds. Fought hard to win, snatched away the momentum and secured a ’13-11’ victory.

The pressure was on MiTH as they suffered a bleed on their map pick, Ascent. Once again the latter were able to string together a goal which gave them the upper hand at the half time mark. MiTH desperately tried to counter-attack but were met with stiff resistance as the game drew to a close with a ’13-10′ scoreline.Bled Esports emerged victorious in this tournament with a ‘3-1’ series victory as they claimed an overall record of five wins and one loss.

The Skysports SEA Championship was an exciting tournament pitting the top teams from the two regions against each other on an equal playing field as both the Indian teams were flown to Bangkok, Thailand to negate any difference in ping went.The stakes were high in the Val’Clásico, the tournament’s lowest-ever semi-final, with the current Indian lineup of Global Esports playing their last match together before the VCT 2023 roster revamp.
