Before the finals, VALORANT's 2023 Champions Bundle raises 10 times as much money as the prize pool for the competition

The 2023 bundle is now the most lucrative Champions bundle when compared to earlier events. Just over $18 million was made by the first bundle for the event's 2021 iteration, of which $9 million was divided among the teams.

The $2.25 million basic prize pool for VALORANT Champions 2023 was the highest amount ever awarded in a game tournament. Add in a well-liked skin bundle with monies distributed across teams, and the finest of VCT will be leaving with a sizable bonus, but none anticipated the sum to rise to this level.

Early estimations about the skin package for the event are high, especially when compared to the tournament’s prize pool, as games are soon to resume in Champions 2023 following a brief pause between sites. The package has reportedly already earned more than $20 million USD for the Champions 2023 teams, which is almost ten times the competition’s prize pool, according to a Riot Games tweet from August 24.

The teams alone receive 50% of the bundle’s earnings, therefore Riot has already generated well over $40 million on the 2023 bundle. The 2023 bundle is now the most lucrative Champions bundle when compared to earlier events. Just over $18 million was made by the first bundle for the event’s 2021 iteration, of which $9 million was divided among the teams.

Each team won a substantial $1 million more when the supplementary prize pool for the 2022 VCT Champions reached $16 million at around the same time. This is the same amount the eventual 2023 Champions will get solely from the base event reward pool.

The prize pool grows as you do better at Champions, but the skin bundle money makes sure that every team that makes it to the championship event is rewarded. The idea is to provide funding for the teams so that the distribution is independent of their performance in the competition. While prize pools are always a part of contracts for professional players, there is the opportunity for organizations to divide the money from skin bundles differently between themselves and their players.

Players still have time to support their favorite players by purchasing the Champions package. Fans will have another week from now to contribute to the extra prize pool because the bundle sale will continue after the event, which closes on August 26. This Champions bundle, which offers a great bonus to clubs playing at home already and those still in the competition for the VALORANT championship, will be the most popular one so long as the bundle continues to sell.
