BGIS Quarter finals: Qualified teams and schedule announced

The Battlegrounds Mobile India Series BGIS 2021 online preliminaries have come to a close. A total of 256 teams (qualified and invited) competed in the four-day Round-3 for only 64 quarterfinal spots. From January 2nd to January 5th, the BGIS Quarter finals will be held. All 64 teams will be split into four 16-team groups and compete in a best-of-six format. Only the top six teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals, while the other 10 teams will be eliminated.

Round-3 of the BGIS Online Qualifiers

Round 3 was without a doubt the most entertaining stage of the tournament thus far. Only a few of the 32 teams that were invited directly to the event advanced to the following stage. TSM had the best performance and was the only team to score more than 110 points.

Team Soul, GodLike, and Team Xspark, as well as other fan favourites, qualified for the next round. Hydra, 8Bit, Blind, Chemin, and Marcos Gaming, for example, were not up to the task and were ousted from the event.

BGIS Prize pool

The competition, which has a prize fund of 1 crore INR, is being live-streamed on BattleGrounds Mobile India’s official Youtube channel. The tournament champion will also be guaranteed a spot in the PMGC Finals in 2021.

Because there is just a two-day break between online qualifying and quarterfinals, teams have less time to alter or replan their plans. The next level of the BGIS tournament will be intriguing to watch as teams adjust and perform.
