Catalyst should be a protective character, as she’s interpreted as a “defensive conjurer” on the season 15 splash page. She shouldn’t have the enhanced perk, yet. Her character model seems like it will be more a protective legends just as Wattson and Rampart, as opposite to the greater character models of Gibraltar, Caustic, and Newcastle. What are the capabilities of Catalyst in Apex legends?

As said above, her capabilities come from her utilization of ferrofluid to create new structures and enhance old ones. The new Eclipse released trailer describes how much Catalyst’s capability kit has reworked from this initial build of the character, with the “building” mechanic vanished and the ultimate now massively changed.

While we can’t be too confident precisely how these capabilities all work before we get the confirmation by Respawn, here’s what leaks, data-mined information, and some educated guesses says could be Catalyst’s in Apex Legends capabilities depend on what we’ve seen of her so far.

Passive – Reinforce

They can be so helpful when you want to repair and don’t want an opponent coming into your building, but they’re also relatively simple to demolish. Catalyst’s leaked passive power assists change that since Reinforce will enhance doors and other structures that Catalyst sits near. That has Rampart’s Amped Cover, Newcastle’s Castle Wall, and other placeable items that can be demolished.

Tactical – Resin Shot

Catalyst’s tactical capability seems to have transformed little bit from the initial leaks about the character. While previously, the tactical capability gave Catalyst the power to construct solid structures, it seems this ferrofluid ability now let Catalyst to put ferrofluid on the floor that will slow opponents that step on it.

It’s unspecific if opponents will be completely stuck in this ferrofluid, same to Ash’s Arc Snare, or if they will barely be slowed. But holding a full team in one Resin Shot looks like a ticket to three simple kills for Catalyst and her team.

Ultimate – Ferro Wall

Next ability that seems like it has transformed quite a bit is the Ferro Wall, which started as a tower that Catalyst could utilize to improve herself and her teammates up on top of. Now, that tower has transformed into a semi-solid wall. As the Resin Shot, this wall seems like it will slow opponents that attempt to move through it.
