5 New Additions To League of Legends Beloved Astronaut Skin Line Announced by Riot Games:

With these additions, Riot will do justice to some of the champions who haven’t got a new skin in ages! Are they trying to win back the community’s trust after a poor start to Season 13 and the chaos surrounding the company following the recent cyberattacks? However it may be, it’s always nice to welcome a beloved skin line and Riot is giving those champions some love that they deserve.

The new batch of Astronaut skins include the familiar blue and green color scheme that League players have come to become familiar with from the skin line. Each of the champions included in the new release is donning their best spacefaring gear, with each of their abilities and animations thematically centered around space travel.

Each skin features retro-futuristic visuals and extraterrestrial sound effects, with thematic elements including lasers, asteroids and UFOs in nearly every new astronaut skin. One common constant that can be found in each new skin in one form or another is the little green Meep that was originally introduced with the Astronaut Bard skin. Those little green friends have become so popular in their own right that they’ve even become a staple of the skin line outside of their original skin.

Think for yourself and guess how many years it has been since Singd got his last skin… Quite a long time, isn’t it? It’s been two years or more than 800 days since “Resistance Singed” was released. The same goes for our friends Ivern and Kenen and Jarath. They too had gone almost two years without any new cosmetics. Fizz is the only exception. well sort of. He reworked his Fuzz Fizz Prestige Edition when Riot made changes to the Mythic content, but is it really a new skin? We’ll let you decide on that.

Several new skins, such as Ivern and Singed, embrace the concept of gravity in their new astronaut skins, particularly in their recoil animations. Almost every skin has some sort of animation where the champion shown is floating in space. It is unclear at this time when the newly announced astronaut skins will make their way onto the Live League servers. But there will be a solid prediction with the release of patch 13.4, if historical skin release timelines are any indicator. That patch releases on February 23rd, so any time after that date could be within the estimated range for these five skins.
