UCI Mountain Bike World Championships 2022: Results - Men's and Women's Elite Cross-country

The UCI Mountain Bike World Championships were underway in Les Gets, France from 24 to 28 August 2022.

The UCI Mountain Bike World Championships were underway in Les Gets, France from 24 to 28 August 2022. Pauline Ferrand-Prevot was back to her scinitilaatin best as she regained the women’s title. The event returned after a gap of 18 years, with 5 events on the program. This included the Olympic Cross-Country and Cross-Country Relay, Short Track, Downhill Individual and E-MTB. Also, a team relay will be held with one team consisting of six riders per country.

Ferrand-Prevot held off Spain’s David Valero to to cement his legacy as the greatest mountain bike racer of all time. In the men’s Nino Schurter was on his best form to clinch yet another honour in his spectacular career. He also becomes the oldest rider to win a mountain bike world title. The best athletes were in full flow on exceptional trails with the aim of winning the famous rainbow jersey. Les Gets borders France and Switzerland and regained its spot in 2019 when it became a World Cup location.
