The UCI Mountain Bike (MTB) Eliminator World Championships 2022 will be held at Barcelona in Spain on October 2, 2022. Park Montjuïc is staged as the location for the competition. Previously, three UCI Mountain Bike Eliminator World Cup rounds were held from 2019 to 2021 in this venue. This race is open for riders aged 17 or older (year of birth 2005 and before) can participate at the Eliminator World Cup (Elite, Juniors, U23). The victor of each discipline is also eligible to wear the rainbow jersey in the same discipline until the World Championships the following year. The World Championships usually take place near the end of the season.

Qualifications

• 1 lap 

• Start every 20sec. or 30 sec 

• Start first with the woman then the men 

1/8 finales 

• 8 series with 4 participants each, 2 laps o 2 best participants go to the quarter finals 

Quarter finals 

• 4 series of 4 participants each, 2 laps o 2 best participants go to the semi-finals 

Semi-finals 

• 2 series of 4 participants each, 2 laps o 2 best participants go to the big finale, the other 2 go to the small final 

Finals

• Small final: 2 laps (First women, then men) 

• Big final: 2 laps (First women, then Men)
