There is hardly a medal which Jason Kenny has not won in his illustrious career. The British rider has been a true inspiration for budding young riders with his level on consistency. With six Olympic Gold medals and numerous other medals, Kenny has ruled the sport with utter dominance. At 32 years of age, he is showing no signs of slowing down, making him the rider to fear in the coming years.

After winning multiple World and European titles at the junior level, Kenny stepped up to the senior level to compete at the World Cup Classics in the 2006/07 season. His impressive form in the next couple of years helped him become part of the team sprint squad for the 2008 Olympic Games. They defeated the French team to win the Gold, while Kenny settled for Silver in the sprint competition.

His rapid rise brought him global fame, making him the hottest prospect around. When 2012 London Games arrived, Kenny was at the top of his game. He went on to win the Gold in the team sprint alongside Chris Hoy and Philip Hindes. They set a new world record in the London Velopark with a time of 42.6 seconds.

In the men’s sprint final, Kenny went a step further by bagging the Gold this time. His incredible Olympics did not go unnoticed as Kenny was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire in the 2013 New Year Honours.

Following a few rollercoaster seasons, Kenny was back at his best at the Rio 2016. This time Kenny won the Gold in the men’s team sprint with Philip Hindes and Callum Skinner. The Great Britain cyclist also defeated Callum Skinner in the final to clinch the coveted Gold in the men’s individual sprint.

Kenny still had time to win the Gold in the final of the men’s Keirin. It helped him join Chris Hoy as the holder of six Olympic Gold medals. Five years after the incredible Olympics, Kenny continues to be at the top of his game. With Tokyo Olympics fast approaching, he will yet again be a favourite to retain his Olympic Gold medals.
