Punjab Kings (PBKS) take on Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in an exciting Match 26 of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The Punjab-based franchise has recorded only two wins in a total of six games so far. This is in stark contrast to RCB who have registered five wins, having played the same number of fixtures. It will certainly be interesting to see KL Rahul and Virat Kohli face-off, with some other exciting battles between players on the cards as well.

Here is a look at five key player battles to look out for in PBKS vs RCB:

KL Rahul vs HARSHAL pATEL

KL Rahul will take on Harshal Patel, in an exciting contest between two players who can be game-changers on their day. Rahul has been in good form and will be looking to maintain the same impact. Harshal will target some more dismissals, having started off well.

Chris Gayle vs Mohammed Siraj

Chris Gayle’s capabilities are well-known. He can be a six-hitting monster on his day. Gayle will face off against Siraj who will be high on confidence, having made his presence felt in the previous league game against Delhi Capitals (DC).

Mohammed Shami vs Virat Kohli

Shami can be quite difficult to negotiate when in form, with his inch-perfect yorkers and sublime variations. The pacer will be expected to deliver the goods against RCB skipper Virat Kohli, who will be itching to get a big knock under his belt.

Ravi Bishnoi vs AB de Villiers

The young spinner is one of the best bowlers in the PBKS bowling department, with his quick pace and variations in line and length. Bishnoi will face a stern challenge in De Villiers, who can make some of the best in the business bow down to his brutal gameplay.

Jhye Richardson vs Glenn Maxwell

Richardson is yet to set the stage on fire with his performances in IPL 2021. The Australian bowler will be eager to give fans a demonstration of his talent, but the same might not be as easy when facing off against a batsman of the class of Maxwell.
