Match 25 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will see the Delhi Capitals (DC) against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). The Capitals put up a valiant fight in their previous game against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) as they fell to defeat by just one run while KKR emerged as comfortable victors against the Punjab Kings (PBKS). The Knight Riders have faced a Delhi-based franchise 26 times in the past and have a won 14 of them.

This time around, things might be different as KKR are not in the best of forms while DC seem to be cruising at the top half of the points table. Despite winning their previous game, KKR still look a side unsettled while DC is proving to be one of the favorites for the IPL crown. The two sets of players have tons of quality and experience and individual player battles promise to be an exciting affair.

Here are the five key player battles to look out for in DC vs KKR.

SHIKHAR DHAWAN VS PAT CUMMINS

Two experienced cricketers who are also regular starters for their respective national sides, Shikhar and Cummins are veterans of the sport. Dhawan is in outysanding form and in the race for the orange cap while Cummins can take those crucial wickets and also has tremendous skill with the ball.

RISHABH PANT VS SUNIL NARINE

The mystery spinner seemed to be back aty his deceptive best as he bagged two wickets against PBKS in his fiur overs. The DC skipper also seemed in fine touch after a briliiant half-century against RCB and it would be interesting to see how he handles a veteran like Narine.

AXAR PATEL VS ANDRE RUSSELL

Both all-rounders have immense skill and talent with both bat and ball. The two been in decent form in the past few games and their battle can prove to be a spiacy encounter.

KAGISO RABADA VS EOIN MORGAN

KKR skipper Morgam finally found his form with the bat after playing a captain’s knock of 47 runs to see his team over the line against PBKS. Rabada, on the other hand, is DC’s ace in the hole and it would be intersrting to see how the two face off against each other.

SHIMRON HETMYER VS VARUN CHAKRAVARTHY

The West Indian seemed inj explosive form as he scored 53 runs off just 25 deliveries against RCB, but KKR spinner Varun Chakravarthy is a serial wicket taker and has been their most economical bowler so far in the tournament.
