West Indies will host India for the second T20I at the Warner Park, Basseterre, St Kitts on August 1. The T20I series will be a part of India’s limited-overs tour to the West Indies 2022 which began with the three-match ODI series from July 22 to 27 at the Queen’s Park Oval, Port of Spain, Trinidad.
The visiting Indian side will be looking to assemble a full squad in the T20I series with KL Rahul joining the troops after his surgery and Rohit Sharma set to lead the side. However, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah and Yuzvendra Chahal have been rested for the five T20Is against West Indies. The five-match T20I series will run from July 29 to August 7.
The Warner Park, Basseterre, St Kitts was opened to the spectators in 2006 with a seating capacity of 8000 which can be increased to 10,000 with temporary seating arrangements coming into play. The venue has been host to 10 T20I matches where the teams batting first has won twice and those fielding first have had an upper hand with six wins to their name.
