The day began with West Indies resuming their innings at 229/5, still trailing by 209 runs. India’s bowlers were relentless, quickly picking up the remaining wickets and causing a collapse in the West Indies batting order, ultimately bowling them out for 255. Athanaze and Holder contributed some runs, but the lower order struggled, managing only single-digit scores. The Indian seamers were in top form, with Mohammed Siraj leading the way, securing an impressive five-wicket haul for 60 runs in 23.4 overs. Mukesh Kumar and Ravindra Jadeja also chipped in with a couple of wickets each, while Ashwin added one to the team’s success.

With a lead of 183 runs, India adopted an aggressive batting approach, and Rohit Sharma, supported by Yashasvi Jaiswal, started the third innings at a blistering pace. Rohit’s quickfire fifty off just 35 balls was the highlight of the innings before he was dismissed for 57 runs. Yashasvi Jaiswal looked promising with an unbeaten 37 off 28 balls when rain interrupted play, forcing an early lunch. After the rain break, Yashasvi fell early in the second session, and Ishan Kishan came in to bat. The rain played spoilsport again, resulting in no further play during the second session. In the final session, Ishan continued his aggressive approach and scored a rapid half-century in just 33 balls. India declared their innings with Ishan and Shubman Gill remaining unbeaten on 52 and 37 runs, respectively, setting a target of 365 runs for West Indies.
