Indian bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar took to Twitter to rubbish reports that asserted he didn’t want to play Test cricket. Bhuvneshwar is not a part of the recently picked Test squad for the upcoming England tour. This decision by the BCCI left many shocked and caused a debate on social media.

The fast bowler said “irrespective of the team selection”, he has been training himself to represent the nation. He said he trains for all three formats and will continue to do the same in the future. Bhuvneshwar ended his tweet saying “Please don’t write your assumptions based on “sources”!”

“There have been articles about me not wanting to play Test cricket. Just to clarify, I have always prepared myself for all three formats irrespective of the team selection and will continue to do the same. Suggestion – please don’t write your assumptions based on “sources”!” Bhuvneshwar tweeted.

Bhunvneshwar, who has played 21 Tests for India, was last seen in 2018 in a Test match against South Africa. The seamer faced many injuries in the last few years and missed some important Test series.

Bhuvneshwar has also picked up 63 wickets in just 37 innings with an average of over 26.90. He also has four five-wicket hauls under his belt.

He was last seen playing in the currently postponed Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 for the SunRisers Hyderabad and picked up three wickets in five matches.
