The BCCI may be forced to reduce the number of sites for the next white-ball series against the West Indies because of an increase in Covid-19 instances around the country, but the cricket board has not yet formally explored solutions. The third wave of coronavirus is sweeping the country, prompting several governments to impose restrictions, including weekend lockdowns, to prevent the virus from spreading. India will host the West Indies for six white-ball matches, including three ODIs and as many T20Is, at six different sites, beginning with the first 50-over match on February 6 in Ahmedabad.

“Nothing has been decided as of now. This is a fluid situation and we are keeping an eye on the situation, and we will take a call at an appropriate time,” a senior BCCI official said to Indian news agency PTI.

Apart from Ahmedabad, the matches will be held at Jaipur (February 9), Kolkata (February 12), Cuttack (February 15), Visakhapatnam (February 18), and Thiruvananthapuram (February 19). (February 20).

Given the present Covid issue in the country, the BCCI may decide to hold the six games in three different locations to minimise exposing the players to infection. After arriving in Ahmedabad on February 1, the West Indies team will be isolated for three days. On the 4th and 5th of February, there will be practise sessions before the first ODI on February 6 at Motera.

India will win Cape Town Test against South Africa: Harbhajan Singh

As the three-match Test series between South Africa and India are levelled at 1-1, former India spinner Harbhajan Singh stated that Team India will win in the third and the decider one which is all set to take place in Cape Town. He also said that South Africa will not trouble the visitors much as well.

However, Team India started the series with a convincing 113-run win in Centurion. But, the hosts played well and bounced back with a win in the second and levelled the series at the Wanderers as well. While there is a fair chance that India can win the third Test and script history as they never registered a series win, the hosts have the ability to turn the table too.
