Pakistan captain and talismanic batter Babar Azam united Indo-Pak cricket fans over his message to support former India captain Virat Kohli whose poor run of form continued in the second ODI against England at the Lord’s on Friday. Kohli could add only 16 runs to the Indian tally in the match which India lost by 100 runs as England levelled the three-match series 1-1.

Kohli, who was once touted to break batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 100 centuries in international cricket, has not hit a single ton since 2019. It has been 77 consecutive international innings where the right-handed batter has failed to hit a century. He had recorded the scores of 1 and 11 in the T20I series and was out of form in the rescheduled fifth Test.
However, when the world is divided with different views on Kohli’s form, his rival on the field Azam showed that he is also a well-wisher off the field through his message. Azam shared a picture of him and Kohli on Twitter and said, ‘This too shall pass. Stay strong’.
