On Thursday, February 16, Australia Women (AU-W) will face Sri Lanka Women (SL-W) in the 11th match of the ICC T20 Women’s World Cup 2023 at St George’s Park in Port Elizabeth. Before the game, here’s all you need to know about the encounter. Australia and Sri Lanka have each won two games in the T20 World Cup. While Sri Lanka had to work hard for their victories, Australia dominated Bangladesh and New Zealand, establishing themselves as the side to beat. While their batting unit has performed well in times of necessity, Australia’s true strength rests in their potent bowling attack. Chamari Athapaththu and company, on the other hand, would rely on their spin assault to disrupt their opponents. With both teams vying for a spot in the semi-finals, an intriguing clash awaits in Port Elizabeth.

Sri Lanka will have to work hard to defeat Australia, who is a title contender. A win would almost probably place the Lankan Lions in the knockout stages. Australia, on the other hand, has performed admirably, defeating New Zealand and Bangladesh by 97 runs and eight wickets, respectively. Meg Lanning and the company have contributed with all-around performances and will try to maintain the momentum against Sri Lanka. There might be significant rain interruptions during the 11th game of the T20 World Cup in Gqeberha.
