Indian youth boxers ended their campaign on a high by winning 19 medals at the 40th Golden Glove of Vojvodina which took place in Serbia from September 12 to 19, 2022. The pugilists brought glory to the nation, earning ten gold, two silver, and seven bronze medals. All the 12 female boxers claimed a medal each, out of which five were yellow medals. Jadumani in the men’s flyweight category (51kg) was adjudged the ‘Best Fighter of the Tournament’, female boxer Ravina (63kg) clinched the ‘Best Boxer’ award. Kunjarani, Ravina, and Kirti all won unanimously, while Bhawna and Devika won 4-1 in the finals.
