Shakur Stevenson will take on Robson Conceicao in the Super Featherweight class for 12 Rounds on Sept 23 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Shakur Stevenson, the undisputed junior lightweight champion, defends his WBC, WBO, and Ring Magazine belts against Robson Conceicao. Stevenson enters the ring with an undefeated record of 18 victories, nine knockout victories, zero defeats, and zero draws. While Robson will step into the ring carrying a record of 17 victories with eight of those victories coming by knockout.
Following a career-best performance in April defeating Oscar Valdez and earning the WBC title, Stevenson will be back in action. He was a former featherweight world champion who raised weight to defeat Jamel Herring in a knockout in October to earn the WBO junior lightweight title. In 2016, Conceiço (17-1, 8 KOs) became the first boxer from Brazil to win an Olympic gold medal. His only defeat came in a nail-biting points decision to Valdez in September. However, he returned in January and defeated the previously unbeaten Xavier Martinez.
