Ashish Kumar will face Travis Tapatuetoa of Niue will feature in the preliminary round of the Men’s Boxing 75-80kg Round of 16 clash on Monday. The 28-year old was impressive in his opening fight putting him one step closer to medal contention.

The boxing contingent sees three pugilists as medal hopefuls including Amit Panghal and 2018 CWG medalist Mohammad Hussamuddin. Kumar is in the light-heavyweight category with a victory pushing him closer to another medal for the Indian contingent.
