Serbia vs Slovenia will take place at Graz, Austria for FIBA Europe Cup match on September 10. In front of a FIBA Europe Cup Final attendance record of 13,485, the Istanbul club won the match overall 162-143 to become the first Turkish team to claim victory in the championship. With 17 points, Jamar Smith led all scorers, followed by Jamal Jones with 14, Sam Dekker with 12, and Tarik Black with 12. Dekker and Black played crucial contributions in the final five minutes of the game to seal the victory. The only players in double digits for the Italian team were Arturs Strautins and Stephen Mark Thompson Jr., who each scored 19 points. Andrea Cinciarini added nine assists to his eight points while Strautins had 11 rebounds.
His effort was a far cry from his last outing in Game 1 when he scored 20 points and committed seven turnovers. Erhan Ernak, the coach of Bahçeşehir College, expressed his happiness at winning the trophy but added that it was only the beginning for the team. In a post-game news conference, he stated, “We are really thrilled, because winning this cup was one of our aims this season. Ernak stated, “Now we have set our eyes on the Turkish league trophy, and we intend to continue the club’s development.
