The Seattle Storm will head to the Wintrust Arena for a WNBA matchup against the Chicago Sky on Tuesday, August 9th. The Storm are coming into the encounter on the back of a disappointing loss against the Las Vegas Aces.

Breanna Stewart led the way for them with a stellar 35-point and 10 rebound performance. Tina Charles also showed up scoring 19 points and grabbing 9 rebounds. However, no other player from the Storm was able to lodge over 10 points and this led to them losing by an 89-81 scoreline. After being down by only a point at halftime, the Storm would have expected to come out with a win. However, the Aces were a little too determined on the night and their resilience helped them come out stronger in the second half and register a stellar win.

Meanwhile, the Chicago Sky met the Connecticut Sun in their last encounter. Led by Courtney Vandersloot’s magnificent 20-point performance, the defending champs bagged a close 94-91 win on Sunday. Candace Parker also had a stellar night as she scored 18 points and bagged 12 boards in 33 minutes. Allie Quigley and Emma Meesseman added 15 points each to make things easier for the Sky. The team from Chicago got off to a flying start, scoring 32 points in the first quarter. However, the Sun’s team bounced back strongly and kept fighting. But in the end, the resilience of the Sky helped them pave their way to their twenty-fifth win of the season.
