The LA Sparks will faceoff against the Las Vegas Aces in a WNBA game at the Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas on July 23. Both teams are heading into the encounter on the back of exciting victories in their previous games.
The Sparks got to a stellar 85-78 triumph against the Atlanta Dream. Nneka Ogwumike, the player in form, had yet another impressive performance. The forward racked up 20 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists in 30 minutes. Chiney Ogwumike also had a good game as she scored 15 points and bagged 7 boards on the night. The Sparks never lost their grip on the game as they kept making baskets at regular intervals. Although the Dream tried their level best for a second-half comeback, things had gotten too late by then. This was the Sparks’ second straight win. They will now be looking to carry the same momentum to their upcoming fixtures.
Meanwhile, their opponents, the Las Vegas Aces are coming on the back of a dominant 90-77 win over the struggling Indiana Fever. A’ja Wilson led the way by scoring 23 points and also bagged 8 rebounds. Jackie Young also helped out by scoring 16 points. Chelsea Gray added 14 points and also made 12 assists to make things easier on the night. Having established a strong lead, the Aces decided to go easy in the fourth quarter. The Fever outscored them 25-14 points in that period, but it still wasn’t enough to prevent a loss.

The LA Sparks have reported Kristi Toliver and Rae Burrell, to be out of this game due to injuries. The Aces will most likely have all their players available for selection for their game on Saturday.
