Kyle Lowry is an American professional basketball player who plays for the Miami Heat in the National Basketball Association [NBA]. He was selected twenty-fourth overall by the Memphis Grizzlies in 2006 and since then Lowry has been a part of three other teams. The point guard had little success with the Grizzlies and the Houston Rockets, but his career actually bloomed when he was traded to the Toronto Raptors in 2012. Lowry went to the team from the North when he was 26 and by the time he finished his stint there, he had accomplished a lot of accolades.

The 36-year-old won the NBA championship in 2019 and cemented his place in Raptors history forever. He made six All-Star appearances during his time there and ended his stay in Toronto with the most assists, steals, triple-double and three-point field goals. After a successful stint with the Raptors, Kyle Lowry decided to team up with his friend Jimmy Butler as part of the Miami Heat. He had a great first season, but with a few more years left, it will be interesting to see if he stays with the Heat or moves elsewhere.

Kyle Lowry Contract Status and Salary

Kyle Lowry came to the Miami Heat via a sign and trade deal last offseason. His contract is a three-year $85,000,002 that will run till 2023-24 season. Aged 37, Lowry will make $29,682,540 in the final year of his deal, post which he will be an unrestricted free agent. Although he has the experience of playing on the biggest stage, it is highly unlikely that many suitors will find him ideal at that age.

However, the Heat organisation seems to love his presence on the court. He has been instrumental in their run to the Conference Finals and their playing style is a lot different with him on the team. With his championship window slowly closing down, Lowry will have to inspire something big if the Heat are to reach the pinnacle of basketball.
