With 3:09 left, Rtail made a critical three-point play to break the tie, and the youthful Cedars never trailed after that. Gio Seilman and Mansour also contributed to their victory against the hosts.
Mohammad Amini’s efforts, who finished with a game-high 24 points on 61.1 percent shooting from the field and 9 rebounds, were ineffective due to the defeat. With a commanding 96-62 victory over Qatar, Chinese Taipei announced the U18 Asian Championship’s return to the Iranian capital after a six-year absence. With a scorching 15-0 start to the game, the Taiwanese team set the tone for the rest of the game. Wei Chieh Yeh led the way with 21 points on 5 triples, making half of his team’s outside attempts.
