Japan vs Iran 2022 FIBA U-18 Asia Championship, Group A game will be held on August 22 at Azadi basketball Hall. At the Azadi Basketball Hall on Sunday night, Lebanon demonstrated their tenacity by coming from behind to defeat Iran, 65-63, and get their FIBA U19 Asian Championship 2022 campaign started to a winning start. Karim Rtail led the Cedars’ comeback from a 13-point deficit to take the early lead in Group A with 17 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists. Bryan Mansour chipped in with 10 points. With 3:09 left, Rtail made a critical three-point play to break the tie, and the youthful Cedars never trailed after that. Gio Seilman and Mansour also contributed to their victory against the hosts.

Mohammad Amini’s efforts, who finished with a game-high 24 points on 61.1 percent shooting from the field and 9 rebounds, were ineffective due to the defeat. The first three games of the tournament ended in lopsided fashion, but it was still an exciting start to the action. With a commanding 96-62 victory over Qatar, Chinese Taipei announced the U18 Asian Championship’s return to the Iranian capital after a six-year absence. With a scorching 15-0 start to the game, the Taiwanese team set the tone for the rest of the game. Wei Chieh Yeh led the way with 21 points on 5 triples, making half of his team’s outside attempts.
