The Indiana Fever will head to the Crypto.com Arena for a WNBA matchup against the Los Angeles Sparks on July 19. The Fever are coming into the matchup in hopes of ending their disappointing nine-game losing streak.
Their latest setback came against the Seattle Storm on Sunday. NaLyssa Smith led the way with 15 points and 9 rebounds. Emma Cannon also added 14 points. However, the Fever never looked like they had a grip on the game. Seattle had a seven-point lead going into the fourth quarter. Although there were expectations from the Fever to pull things back, they completely failed in their attempt. Eventually, the Storm walked out of the game as winners with an 81-65 scoreline. The Fever are indefinitely out of the race for the playoffs. However, they could grab a few wins and spoil the party for a few teams that are trying to get there.
Their opponents for the night, the LA Sparks are also coming from an 80-68 loss against the Chicago Sky. Nneka Ogwumike scored a team-high 16 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in the game. Chiney Ogwumike also chipped in with 14 points and 13 boards. The Sky were looking extremely good throughout the game and had solid performances in the second and third quarters. The Sparks did their best to make a comeback, but the team from Chicago contained them to a mere 12 points in the fourth quarter to grab a win on the night.

Indiana Fever guard, Lexie Hull is doubtful for the game against the Sparks. She is the only player that could be out of the side for this game. Meanwhile, for the Sparks, Chennedy Carter, Kristi Toliver and Rae Burrell are reported to be out. Liz Cambage is also a day-to-day case and will play only if everything goes well until the tip-off.
