Georgia vs Spain will take place at Tbilisi Sports Palace for a EuroBasket 2022 Group A Round 2 match on Saturday. Georgia sits in fourth place on the group standings and comes into this game on the back of a 79-76 loss to Belgium. Belgium took the first quarter 14-11 and was even comfortable in the second quarter as they took that one 38-32. It looked like it was all over for Georgia as they lost the third quarter 58-51 but they somehow managed to make a comeback and draw the game 70-70 in the fourth quarter. In overtime, Belgium took control and won the game 79-76. Sandro Mamukelashvili and Thad McFadden scored 18 and 17 points respectively for Georgia.

On the other hand, Spain sits at the top of the group with two points and comes into this game on the back of a 114-87 win over Bulgaria. The Spaniards started well and took a lead of 28-17 at the end of the first quarter. The second quarter was more of the same as Spain extended their lead to 57-35.  Bulgaria scored 31 points in the third quarter but they still couldn’t make a change in the score as Spain led 89-66. The game ended with Spain trashing Bulgaria 114-87. Lorenzo Brown scored 17 points for Spain while Willy Hernangomez dropped 16.
