Congo sits in fourth place on the standings with 10 points as they won four games and lost two. They come into this game on the back of an 80-52 loss to Egypt. Egypt took control of the match from the get-go as they took the first quarter 23-16. The second quarter was a blowout as the Congo was outscored 52-30 by the Egyptians. Egypt took the third quarter 63-39 and then won the match by closing out the fourth quarter with a score of 80-52.
On the other hand, Cameroon sits at the bottom of the group standings with seven points and having won just one game and losing five. They come into this game on the back of a 67-56 loss to South Sudan. South Sudan took the first quarter 18-9 and never looked back. Cameroon tried to make a comeback in the second quarter but was still 10 points behind as the quarter ended 34-24 in Sudan’s favour. South Sudan scored 20 points in the third quarter and took the score to 54-46. The game ended 67-56 in South Sudan’s favour.
