The day’s practice for USA Basketball was coming to an end. On the Miami Heat practice floor, players dispersed to shoot some free throws and jump shots while assistant coaches and other team staff members talked to them and grabbed rebounds. Jim Boylen required some alone time at this point. He took a folding chair, brought it across the court, set it up on the other sideline at midcourt, and then he took a few minutes to himself to observe the scenario, make notes, and cross things off the list for the day’s practice schedule. However, the defense of Mexico prevented a loss. In the third window of the Americas Qualifiers, which was played this Friday at the University Auditorium Gymnasium in Chihuahua, Mexico, the Aztecs defeated Cuba 75-66 despite having the last quarter with just 14 points.

Current Form

Just one day before the First Round concluded, the Mexicans earned their fourth victory in five games to tie the Americans for first place in Group D. The specific series between the two came to a 1-1 draw, but the Americans emerged victorious due to their superior goal difference overall. In the locals’ assault, the triples were essentially their sole weapon. They had 11 in their final 26 attempts. The fact that they tried almost as many double shots (27) with only three more hits highlighted their emphasis on long-range shooting (14). Additionally, they had a winning record from the penalty spot with 14 victories.

Anticipated Winner

The Americans would go that much closer if they picked up two victories on this trip. Furthermore, even though the United States is the four-time defending Olympic champion and the top-ranked country in the world according to FIBA, international competitions, particularly in qualifying, are just different. Quarters last 10 minutes rather than 12 as is customary for American players, and games can get fairly rough, especially when played on the road.

Where And When To Watch?

The exciting match will be held on July 4, 7:10 PM EST and July 5, 4:40 AM IST. The Audience from the US can stream on popular channels like ESPN, whereas Indians can log in to Fancode.com.
