The Connecticut Suns vs Minnesota Lynx game will be played on Friday, July 22 at 8:00 PM ET [Saturday, July 23 at 5:30 AM IST]
The Connecticut Suns will head into their next WNBA game, where they will be up against the Minnesota Lynx at the Target Center on July 22. The Suns are coming into the game on the back of a stellar win against the New York Liberty.
Brionna Jones led the way with a 21-point performance. The center also made her presence felt on the boards by grabbing 8 rebounds. To make things easy for the Suns, Alyssa Thomas scored 18 points and recorded 13 boards on the night. DiJonai Carrington showed up looking dangerous as she shwoes up from the bench and added 18 points in 18 minutes. In the end, all their efforts proved to be of great help as the Suns were able to dismantle the Liberty by an 82-63 margin.
Meanwhile, the Lynx squared off against the Washington Mystics in their last encounter. They were on the backfoot right from the word go as the Mystics were looking determined to grab a win. Elena Delle Donne was the only player that was able to get going for the Lynx as she recorded 21 points and 10 rebounds. Ariel Atkins also helped out with a 15 point game. However, none of their efforts were enough as the Mystics went onto grab a 70-57 win on the night. They are currently tenth on the table, but a win could help them make a push to go up in the standings. They are going up against a very resilient Suns team, but if they put up a strong performance, things could end up going in their favor.
The Sun have reported Jonquel Jones to be doubtful due to the Covid 19 protocols. On the other hand, the Lynx have reported Damiris Dantas to be out due to personal reasons.
