The Caribbean Storm Islands will go against Bucaros in the LBP Colombia match on October 17. On the afternoon of Thursday, September 29, at the General Santander Coliseum in Soacha, the development of the regional championship game between Cóndores de Cundinamarca and Piratas de Bogotá was interrupted by an unexpected attack in the Colombian Professional Basketball Division (DPB). Finally, a brawl broke out between Cóndores de Cundinamarca supporters who grabbed the hair and shoved the American basketball player from Piratas de Bogotá from the stands, making it impossible to continue to play in the coliseum for the remaining minute and 41 seconds of the fourth quarter.
Amidst the Professional Basketball League (LBP WPlay) of Colombia’s directive to abandon the development of the Clausura 2022 tournament, the Cundinamarca match ended with a 78-86 victory for Piratas de Bogotá. Cóndores had already played five matches, while Piratas had only played three. Group B of the competition is currently being led by Cimarrones del Chocó with 10 points (4-2) and Team Cali with 7 units (3-1).

Prior to that, the Piratas de Bogotá communications department stepped out to provide information about the incident, encourage respect, and call for fines or disciplinary actions against the aggressor and the square that disobeyed during the peak of the sporting event. It is important to note that the officials called a technical foul for each side after the final quarter, which ended with Cóndores de Cundinamarca leading 21-16. After making their decision, the judges deliberated for some time as the people cried foul.
