The Mystics are coming into the encounter on the back of a stellar win against the New York Liberty. Elena Delle Donne led the way for the Mystics with a 25-point performance. Ariel Atkins also had a stellar night as she racked up 16 points and 6 boards to ease things up for the Mystics. Myisha Hines- Allen brought in the energy from the bench. She scored 13 points and secured 8 rebounds in only 24 minutes of action. The Liberty put on a good showing in the first quarter, but thereafter it was all about the Mystics. They kept making baskets and forcing stops to walk out with a 78-69 win.
Meanwhile, the Dallas Wings are headed to the game on the back of an emphatic 96-86 win over the Indiana Fever. Arike Ogunbowale was the star of the game as she scored 22 points and made 5 assists on the night. Teaira McCowan and Allisha Gray contributed with 17 and 16 points respectively as the Wings bagged a win against the team from Indiana. Dallas are now seventh in the table, however, they will be looking to move up as the playoff time gets closer. The team has a lot of potential and could make a lot of noise in the league. If they are able to unleash that, things could get really interesting for them in the upcoming fixtures.
The Washington Mystics will most likely miss Elena Delle Donne for the game on Thursday as she will be rested for the matchup. Meanwhile, the Dallas Wings will be without Awak Kuier and Satou Sabally, who are suffering from ankle injuries.
