Kristjan Čeh is one of the most promising athletes in the world right now. He represents Slovenia in the discus throw event at competitive events. He is 23 years old and is about 6 ft 9 inches. He is the reigning World Champion and silver medalist at the European Athletics Championship 2022. His throw of 71.27 (personal best) ranks in the top ten best throws of all time. Due to a phenomenal sporting year, he was also nominated for the "Athlete of the Year" award by World Athletics. He is presently being coached by Estonian Olympic champion discus thrower Gerd Kanter since February 2022. Estonian discus thrower Anna Maria Orel is his girlfriend. Considering the great height and strength, it won't be surprising if he becomes one of the biggest athletes of the World within a few years.

At the European U23 Championships in Gävle, Sweden, in 2019, he took home a gold medal. This was his second European U23 championship. Prior to breaking the national record on May 27, 2021, at Ptuj’s Mestni Stadion, he had a personal best in the event of 68.75 meters, set in Maribor in 2020. Before he broke it on June 26, 2021 at Kuortane, Finland, with a distance of 70.35 meters, this was the European U23 Record.
Kristjan Čeh claimed his first significant victory at the 2022 World Championships in Eugene, Oregon, where he defeated Lithuania’s Mykolas Alekna (69.27 m) to win his first significant gold medal. He subsequently maintained his excellent form by taking home the silver medal in the European Athletics Championships held in Munich a week later. He finished second to Mykolas Alekna, who won the silver medal in the World championship, with a discus throw of 68.28 meters.
Čeh shocked everyone once again at the Birmingham Diamond League 2022 with a throw of 71.27 meters, breaking his previous record by three feet. With this throw, he entered the top ten list of best discus throws of all time. The top six competitors from the Tokyo Olympics 2020 attended this meeting. Over the previous nine years, only Swedish Olympic gold medalist Daniel Stahl, who finished third in this meet, has thrown farther. He also clinched his first Diamond League title, by winning the Zurich Diamond League with a throw of 67.10 m.

As of now, his biggest rivalry is with Mykolas Alekna of Lithuania. The duo has faced off on a number of occasions. They encountered in the World Championships Oregon 2022, where Kristjan took home the gold medal. In their next encounter which took place after almost a week in Munich, Alekna won the gold medal to become the European champion in 2022.
Kristjan Čeh was born in 17 February, 1999 in Ptuj, Slovenia. Not much information is available about his family. However, it is reported that none of his family members had sporting success. He has a girlfriend named Anna Maria Orel. Anna is an international-level hammer thrower from Estonia. The couple have been dating for almost two years now.
