A total of 14 teams started in the National Playoff stage, only four teams managed to qualify for the National Finals, which took place on 24 December in Mumbai as part of the Skysports Championship 4.0 over LAN.The best-of-seven grand final clash almost went the distance, ending with a ‘4-2’ scoreline in favor of God’s Rain, who had to put up a tough fight against a challenging Revenant Esports.

The Huge event with a total prize pool of INR 22,50,000 ($27,165 USD) was divided into four main stages – Zonal Qualifiers, Zonal Finals, National Playoffs and National Finals, balancing new teams with a chance to showcase their skills found. The final day’s action began with the Upper Bracket Finals, where Gods Reign moved into the Lower Bracket and Revenant Esports became the first team to qualify for the Grand Finals.It’s not easy being a crowd favorite, but S8UL handled all the added pressure brilliantly, winning the lower bracket semi-finals with a clean sweep against Marcos Gaming. However, this victory celebration was short lived as God’s Rain defeated them ‘3-2’ in the lower bracket finals, setting up a revenge against Revenant Esports.

This time the reign of God was in better control of the situation and executed his plan more efficiently. It was still an uphill battle with Revenant Esports unwilling to give an inch, but the players kept their cool, taking it one game at a time and emerging victorious with a ‘4-2’ series scoreline.

Gods Reign ended the year with this win, becoming India’s top Pokémon Unite team after this win. They are going into 2023 more confident than ever and looking to build on the momentum.They have already managed to qualify for the upcoming Pokémon Unite Asia Champions League 2023 along with four other teams including Revenant Esports.
