Here’s a look back at some of Xavier Woods’s and The Newday’s most memorable WWE rivalries

The Shield

The Shield was without a doubt the greatest three-man team in WWE history. The three guys have all won World Championships at some time in their careers, and they also performed well together as a tag team early on, with Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns holding Tag Team Championships. Then, all of a sudden, The New Day and Woods were dubbed as the finest three-man combination in WWE. In 2017, the two factions had a squabble. The public loved seeing the two trios battle, and although The Shield triumphed at Survivor Series that year, it helped New Day gain even more popularity.

The Revival

The Revival was WWE’s finest villainous tag team. The Brainbusters’ Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder are a vintage duo. The Brainbusters had fantastic bouts with babyface teams like The Rock n’ Roll Express, Road Warriors, and Rockers, therefore the parallels are noteworthy. The Revival, like The New Day, was the ideal opponent for babyface teams. The rivalry between the two was fantastic, with The Revival wanting to be taken seriously and New Day always joking around. In 2019, the two teams even swapped SmackDown championships.

The Bar

While Sheamus didn’t have much success as the League of Nations’ captain, he did find a home in a tag team with Cesaro. What began as a rivalry between two of WWE’s fiercest hitters evolved into The Bar, one of the finest duos in the organisation. The Bar defeated The New Day for the tag team championships on SmackDown and went on to have a 102-day reign. The duo also had a lot of success on Raw, with four championship reigns (a Raw record), including ending New Day’s 483-day reign.
