From Logan Paul’s unexpected challenge to Rey Mysterio to a thrilling Women’s Championship match, the Blue Brand had it all. Let’s dive into the key moments and results from this week’s SmackDown.

Paul Heyman Sets the Stage

The show kicked off with Paul Heyman addressing the audience highlighting the shocking events involving Jimmy Uso on WWE Raw. Heyman revealed that Uso’s actions cost Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes the Undisputed Tag Team Championship all under the guidance of Roman Reigns. The advocate then shifted his focus to Reigns’ upcoming WWE Universal Championship match against LA Knight at WWE Crown Jewel. He issued a stern warning that November 4 would mark Knight’s final appearance in the ring.

LA Knight’s entrance interrupted Heyman’s monologue and Knight wasted no time in grabbing the microphone. He questioned Heyman’s threats and called out Reigns challenging him to show up. Knight’s message was crystal clear he was determined to own Reigns and the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. He announced that the contract signing for their Crown Jewel match would take place next week adding “Make it clear who’s game this is.”

Montez Ford vs Escobar

In a fast-paced match, Montez Ford took on Santos Escobar with Bobby Lashley and Angelo Dawkins at ringside. Ford displayed his high-flying abilities and athleticism throughout the contest. A series of high-impact moves including a standing splash and an enzuigiri, left Escobar reeling. After a brief interruption from LWO Ford secured the victory showcasing his immense potential.

John Cena’s candid revelation

He confessed to a lengthy streak of days without winning a televised match but he remained steadfast in his belief in himself the fans and the indomitable spirit of WWE. Cena vowed to turn things around promising that the next opponent to face him would have a tough night ahead.

Solo Sikoa made a surprise appearance confronting Cena in the ring. A brawl ensued and it took Jimmy Uso’s intervention to provide Solo Sikoa with backup. However, Jey Uso’s sudden arrival escalated the situation as he and Cena went after Jimmy and Sikoa. Security eventually intervened but not before Jey attempted to execute a Samoan Spike on Cena only for Cena to counter with an Attitude Adjustment.

Logan Paul wants the United States Championship

Logan Paul made a memorable appearance boasting about his recent MMA victory over Dillon Danis. He reminisced about his first WWE match in which he defeated Rey Mysterio and spoke about the changes that had occurred since then including his engagement and the launch of his energy drink company. Paul now declaring himself a WWE Superstar revealed his desire to challenge for the United States Championship. He offered a match to Rey Mysterio at Crown Jewel.

Rey Mysterio’s response was clear and respectful. He acknowledged Paul’s talents and compared him to his son Dominik in terms of ability and a big mouth. Rey agreed to the title match and placed the championship in the center of the ring. After a handshake and a show of sportsmanship, Paul exited the ring.

Austin Theory and Grayson Waller vs Dragon Lee and Cameron Grimes

Austin Theory and Grayson Waller teamed up to take on the duo of Dragon Lee and Cameron Grimes. The match featured a blend of high-flying maneuvers and power moves. Theory and Waller’s synergy allowed them to secure the victory, with Theory pinning Grimes to claim the win.

Kevin Owens’ ambitious goal

SKY adopted a submission strategy targeting Flair’s arm but Flair responded with her trademark chops and power moves. The battle raged on with each wrestler gaining momentum at different points. In a thrilling sequence, SKY executed a Sunset Flip from the top rope only for Flair to kick out. The match reached its climax when SKY used her championship belt to steal the victory thanks to an assist from Dakota Kai.

Bianca Belair’s Return

The show closed with a surprise return. Damage CTRL looked poised to continue their assault on Charlotte Flair but Bianca Belair’s music hit and she rushed to the ring to provide backup to Flair. Belair executed a KOD on Bayley leaving fans with a thrilling cliffhanger.
