To help promote the weekend’s events, a number of Superstars came from SmackDown to Raw to help make the show as huge as possible. Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns made cameos, an eight-woman tag match involving all four women’s tag teams took place, The Street Profits battled Alpha Academy, and The Miz faced Rey Mysterio in a non-title fight of the tag team champions.

Seth Rollins was also heard from once again as he sought to get a spot on the WrestleMania 38 card.

Let’s take a look at what transpired on WWE Raw during WrestleMania week.

WWE RAW match card

  • Omos vs. Viking Raiders
  • Morgan, Ripley, Banks and Naomi vs. Baszler, Natalya Carmella and Zelina
  • Austin Theory vs. Ricochet
  • Drew McIntyre vs. Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss
  • The Usos vs. RK-Bro

Lesnar starts the Monday Night RAW

Lesnar arrived on Raw with his now-famous cowboy hat, to a standing ovation from the WWE Universe. The broadcasters commented on how unsettling it was to see The Beast smiling.

He greeted everyone to Raw and discussed his impending WrestleMania showdown with Roman Reigns. He cracked a few jokes before claiming the WWE and Universal Championships and promising to depart Dallas with them.

The Beast appeared to be having a good time, especially while joking with the crowd and having a good time. This wasn’t quite a perfect go-home segment for WrestleMania’s main event, but it was a good promo nevertheless.

The Miz vs. Rey Mysterio

Logan Paul was wearing Rey’s mask which The Miz stole last week to mock The Mysterios. Dominik, as usual, followed his father to the ring for this bout. Dom pounced on The Miz and knocked him down, as Rey yelled at Paul. Dom was dismissed by the referee, while Paul was permitted to remain.

Early on, Rey had the upper hand, but a diversion from Paul allowed The Miz to hit a DDT at ringside. But shortly  Rey won with a sunset flip just after the break.

Omos vs. Viking Raiders, Bobby Lashley challenges the Giant

Erik was knocked and rolled out of the ring by a brutal clothesline. The referee counted him out, giving Omos the most straightforward handicap victory ever. Ivar attempted to enter the ring but was pushed off the apron and into the floor.

This was an odd method to book it. If they wanted Omos to win in this manner, they should have used two local players. This just serves to make The Viking Raiders appear inept.

Bobby Lashley confronted Omos after the monster did a quick promo about no one being up to the challenge of confronting him. Omos shoved the All Mighty aside with one hand while the Lashley glared him down. To send him out of the ring, an enraged Lashley smacked him down with a running shoulder tackle.

Morgan, Ripley, Banks and Naomi vs. Baszler, Natalya, Carmella and Zelina

Backstage, Reggie attempted to propose to Dana Brooke, but Tamina assaulted them to ruin the moment. Then shortly after, Tozawa proposed to Tamina and she accepted. A double wedding appears to be on the cards.

Later in the ring, Reigns, Paul Heyman, and The Usos appeared to reply to Lesnar’s comments earlier in the night. He didn’t appear to be in the same excellent humour as Lesnar.

A backstage scene with Carmella and Zelina participating in a photo shoot was also included. Natalya and Baszler arrived to talk trash, which resulted in an eight-woman tag team fight with Naomi, Sasha Banks, Liv Morgan, and Rhea Ripley joining them.

Ripley took the win for her squad after a back-and-forth fight.

Austin Theory vs. Ricochet

Kevin Owens entered the ring to promote his forthcoming talk show interview with Steve Austin. He stated that Stone Cold wishes to speak with him and that KO is prepared to accommodate him since he believes himself to be a decent person.

The following bout pitted Ricochet vs Austin Theory, although the Intercontinental Championship was not at stake. This was only a warm-up for Theory’s match against Pat McAfee this weekend.

When the audience yelled for McAfee, Theory was easily distracted, allowing Ricochet to take control. Theory was able to turn the tables and win with his finisher.

Drew McIntyre vs. Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss

Becky Lynch assaulted Bianca Belair during a promo and attempted to chop off her braid, but The EST stopped her and wound up cutting off a lot of Lynch’s hair instead.

Drew McIntyre faced Madcap Moss and Happy Corbin in the night’s second handicap match. After beating up Moss, the Scottish Warrior shoved him toward Corbin for the tag. McIntyre easily beat Moss with a Claymore Kick when Corbin opted to leave.

Corbin returned after the contest and assaulted McIntyre until he collapsed in the middle of the ring. Before departing, he seized McIntyre’s sword.

The Usos vs. RK-Bro

RK-Bro dominated the first half of the battle, but The Usos didn’t allow them to stay in control the entire time. The longer the game lasted, the more competitive it grew.

WWE gave this match a lot of time, thus it easily became Match of the Night. Even with that distinction, it was a rather mediocre encounter, especially for these two clubs.

The Street Profits assaulted RK-Bro, resulting in a DQ, so Nakamura and Boogs entered to fight The Usos. Riddle and Orton eventually knocked out Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford with RKOs to bring the night to a close.
