WWE RAW started to find several contenders for the WWE RAW Women’s championship as Rhea Ripley didn’t get cleared due to her injury. Vince McMahon made an appearance on RAW this week. Bobby Lashley fought three opponents one after another and reigned supreme, destroying every opponent facing him. AJ Styles was a guest on Miz TV. Asuka and Omos qualified for the Money in the Bank tournament. Also, Elias and Ezekiel gave a glimpse of their brotherhood display. This week’s WWE RAW segments promoted the matches for the coming pay-per-view Money in the Bank. So, here are some of the highlights and results from this week’s Monday Night RAW.

WWE RAW match card

  • Carmella vs Alexa Bliss vs Liv Morgan vs Asuka vs Becky Lynch (No.1 contender for WWE RAW woman’s championship)
  • Omos vs Riddle (Money in the Bank Qualifying match)
  • Angelo Dawkins vs Jey Uso
  • Bobby Lashley in a gauntlet match against Chad Gable, Otis, Theory
  • AJ Style vs Tommaso Ciampa
  • Asuka vs Becky Lynch (Money in the Bank Qualifying match)

Carmella vs Alexa Bliss vs Liv Morgan vs Asuka vs Becky Lynch (No.1 contender for WWE RAW woman’s championship)

Bianca Belair began the programme by revealing that Rhea Ripley had not received medical clearance for their Money in the Bank bout for Belair’s Raw women’s championship. Belair then revealed that Alexa Bliss, Liv Morgan, Carmella, Asuka, and Becky Lynch would contend for the championship at Money in the Bank later that night. This resulted in the usual barrage of interruptions from the match’s female participants. Carmella won the match after hitting Liv Morgan with a superkick. Carmella’s victory qualifies her for the Raw women’s title contest at Money in the Bank.

Winner: Carmella

Vince McMahon made a cameo, discussing the origins of Raw before teasing John Cena’s debut on next week’s episode. During the inquiry into charges of impropriety regarding hush money paid to a female employee with whom he’d had an affair, McMahon looked to be making a point to show up and make sure his face was on TV, just as he did on SmackDown.

Omos vs Riddle (Money in the Bank Qualifying match)

After failing to capture the Undisputed WWE Universal Title from Roman Reigns on Friday night SmackDown, Riddle faces Omos in a qualifying battle for the Money in the Bank Ladder match. With his nefarious manager MVP by his side, Omos seemed uninjured in the face of Riddle, who proved to be no match for the giant. While Omos was celebrating his victory, Seth Rollins made his way to the ring and struck Riddle while he was down with a “curb stomp”.

Winner: Omos

On RAW, Theory was up next for a solo pose-down. Bobby Lashley sneaked up behind him, and Theory didn’t see until he tried to snap a photo with him. Before striking Theory with a spear, Lashley put baby oil into his eyes. Before heading out, Lashley challenged Theory to a United States Title bout once more. Bobby Lashley will have to conquer three competitors in a Gauntlet match to obtain his championship opportunity.

Angelo Dawkins vs Jey Uso

Dawkins got off to a good start, but Jey moved the fight outside and used a monster clothesline to send Angelo over the barriers. After a brief hiatus on RAW, Dawkins returned with a clothesline and a massive smash before nearly collapsing. Dawkins made a strong tackle on Jey, but he ended up with the superkick. Jey lined up for the splash, but Dawkins rose up and caught Uso in the air, then landed a spine buster for the victory.

Winner: Angelo Dawkins

Ezekiel meets Elias

Before beginning his show, Elias had a backstage chat with Ezekiel. Kevin Owens stopped Elias after the concert began, saying that he was still persuaded that he and Ezekiel were the same person. On the titantron, Ezekiel appeared to explain the issue, but Owens was not ready to accept it. Before RAW resumed, a melee broke out, and Elias slammed his guitar on Owens’ back.

Bobby Lashley in a gauntlet match against Chad Gable, Otis, Theory

Chad Gable was the first to rise, and he was escorted outside before Lashley hoisted him and tossed him against the ring post. Before Lashley executed a stalling vertical suplex, Gable made it back to the apron. Gable deflected Lashley’s spear attempt and locked in the Ankle Lock. Before the submission, the All Mighty got out and locked in the Hurt Lock.

As soon as the bell rung, Otis rushed Lashley and trampled on the former champion. Lashley was taken outside before being thrown against the barriers and ring post by Otis. Lashley was still being battered when he returned to RAW after a break, and he attempted but failed to lock in the Hurt Lock. Gable interfered, leading the All Mighty to fight his third opponent and causing Otis to get disqualified.

The third opponent was Theory, who dashed into the ring before launching a barrage of punches at Lashley. Theory had the A-Town Down and was going to pin Lashley when he reversed it into an inside cradle and won. With this Bobby Lashley has earned a spot at Money in the Bank. He would face Theory for the US championship in the coming pay-per-view.

Winner: Bobby Lashley

Carmella assaulted Bianca Belair backstage as she was discussing the importance of always being prepared. The Miz was back on Miz TV, with AJ Styles as his guest. Before AJ made some college football comments, The Miz ridiculed his visitor, calling him a failure. The A-Lister was enraged when AJ brought up The Miz’s little balls. Before Styles assaulted him with the microphone, The Miz went on a monologue about how he pioneered reality TV while being a revolutionary superstar. Before we went to the break, Ciampa rushed in from behind and took out Styles.

AJ Style vs Tommaso Ciampa

Styles went for the kill straight on on Ciampa, but the former NXT Champion fought back with some massive knee strikes. Ciampa landed a neckbreaker on Styles before putting him in a headlock. The Phenomenal One escaped and landed a couple forearms in the ring before catching Ciampa with the modified neckbreaker for a near fall. AJ got the Phenomenal Forearm before grabbing the pin after some back and forth. Following the bout, The Miz entered the ring to assault AJ, but was squashed by a Styles Clash.

Winner: AJ Styles

Asuka vs Becky Lynch (Money in the Bank Qualifying match)

For WWE locker room, Veer Mahaan did a little promo. The Money in the Bank qualifying match began, and Becky went in straight away, getting some huge blows early on before being tossed outside with a hip attack. Lynch regained control and attempted a top rope manoeuvre, but Asuka countered with a codebreaker for a near fall. Becky hit a dive from the apron after returning to RAW following a break, but Asuka countered with a knee strike. Asuka returned to the ring and blocked the finishing before winning with a huge kick.

Winner: Asuka
