Early Life

During his time in TNA, MVP showcased his charisma and athleticism, engaging in memorable feuds with wrestlers like Eric Young, Raven, and Samoa Joe. He held the TNA Tag Team Championship with Kenny King as part of the faction known as The Beat Down Clan.

WWE (2006 – 2010)

MVP’s first major breakthrough came in 2007 when he entered a storyline rivalry with Chris Benoit, Rey Mysterio, and Randy Orton. MVP left WWE in 2010 to pursue other opportunities. Their series of matches showcased MVP’s in-ring ability and elevated his status as a rising star. His unique persona, complete with a distinctive entrance and a removable accessory called the “VIP Lounge,” set him apart from other wrestlers.

NJPW (2011-2014)

After leaving WWE, MVP ventured into the Japanese wrestling scene, specifically joining New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) from 2011 to 2014. In NJPW, MVP showcased his versatility and had memorable matches against notable talents such as Hiroshi Tanahashi, Tetsuya Naito, and Kazuchika Okada. He also formed a tag team called “The Players” with Shelton Benjamin, winning the IWGP Tag Team Championship.

WWE (2020 – Present)

MVP’s return to WWE in 2020 was met with excitement from fans. He joined forces with Bobby Lashley and formed The Hurt Business stable, which also included Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander. MVP served as the mouthpiece for the group, using his mic skills to elevate their presence and success. Under MVP’s leadership, Lashley captured the WWE Championship, and The Hurt Business gained significant momentum. But in 2023, MVP turned against Bobby and aligned himself with Omos. MVP helped Omos def. Lashley at WrestleMania Backlash. Bobby got his revenge at WWE Hell in a Cell in a handicap match 2-on-1, when he defeated both MVP and Omos and ended their feud.
