On July 19, 2016, as part of the 2016 WWE draft, Jax was selected for the Raw brand and soon after that, he began a winning run against different opponents. Jax and Alicia Fox engaged in their first-ever feud in September, which culminated in a no-contest battle between the two on the September 12 edition of Raw after Jax speared Fox over the ringside barricade.
